Christ Junior College Residential follows a vibrant House System designed to promote teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition among students. The institution comprises four Houses - Amethyst, Sapphire, Tanzanite, and Zircon. Every student is assigned to one of these Houses upon admission, ensuring balanced representation and encouraging active participation in all college activities.
Amethyst: A semi-precious gemstone admired for its natural beauty and calming presence. It symbolizes clarity of mind, emotional balance, and inner strength.
Sapphire: A precious gemstone valued for its brilliance and durability. It represents wisdom, loyalty, and integrity.
Tanzanite: A rare gemstone found exclusively in Tanzania, celebrated for its distinctive character. It signifies uniqueness, creativity, and personal transformation.
Zircon: A natural gemstone known for its exceptional sparkle and versatility. It is associated with purity, brilliance, and positive energy.
Each House is led by a House Leader and an Assistant Leader, who are entrusted with guiding the members, fostering unity, and motivating students to excel in both academic and co-curricular pursuits. Students are required to participate in events organized by the various college associations. Points are awarded to the winners, runners-up, and second runners-up of every event, contributing to the overall ranking of each House.
At the end of the academic year, the House with the highest cumulative score across all events is honoured with the prestigious Ever-Rolling Trophy, symbolizing excellence, teamwork, and exemplary performance.
